faithfulness

I kind of feel a little like Cinderella right now. Not in the servant with 2 evil sisters way or even that a prince has come. But in the fact that my dreams are really coming true.

Tomorrow commences a dream that I have had since I was a child. Tomorrow, my team and I will be traveling to Iowa to our first camp. Being on a ministry team and traveling to different Christian camps has been a desire of my heart and I never thought it would come true. But it really is.

All this week, orientation has been going on. Learning about how to represent IWU best, rules about not wearing other Wesleyan colleges shirts (yes, it's true, that is a rule), how to disciple, you name it we learned it. We went to a ropes course for an afternoon, that was mad fun. I was scared and exhilarated at the same time.

You know, for a long time, I've been a little skeptical about dreams coming true for me. I see them happening in others lives, but in my own, they seemed to have lacked. Until now. God has answered other prayers in my life, but not so clearly as he has done recently. When you tell God you will trust him, he really does come through. Maybe not exactly how you imagined it, but it's absolutely perfect in the end.

Faithfulness. It really goes both ways. We must be faithful to God when we don't see the ending and in return, he will be faithful to us by following through on his promises. This makes me even more willing to wait on the fulfillment of other dreams because I know that God has a perfect plan and he grants wishes right when they are ready to mean the most.
