summer approaches

Around 10 o'clock last night, I walked to Hodson Lobby. Hodson is the brother dorm to Evans, the dorm I currently live in. It was time for the annual Hodson/Evans Service Auction. Those that live in these two dorms offer up services. Things were sold such as desert buffets, lessons in golf, back rubs (still a little iffy on that one), mail for a week, editing papers and so on. Every 25$ raised a member of one of the two dorms leadership would get a pie in the face. Every 50$ an RA would do an incentive. The incentives included: - consuming 5 hot peppers - a guy RA wearing a dress for the night - Jess ate a dozen ice cream sandwiches -Aaron bleached his amazing curly brown hair! - Joel (he's on my Swaziland team) shaved his eyebrows - eating Fancy Feast Cat Food - chugging and entire thing of Maple Syrup - the Swazi team had an apple juice chugging contest - a guy RA painted himself blue - Ty peed his pants...oh my gosh...he seriously went for like 5 minutes! All the proceeds went to support the Swaziland team. It was really fun/disgusting all at once. It was a pretty fun night. It was really amusing to sit there and watch all of this. If I had been thinking, I would have put up pies as a service but, I forgot. Oh well. I guess those are saved for special friends. :) The desire for summer has taken over. Finals are finished for me on Tuesday the 24th. The following day, I will make my trek home, only to return to IWU in 5 days. Summer is going to be pretty crazy this year. But, its time. God put everything into place perfectly and I can hardly stand waiting to see what all he has in store.
