home again, home again, jigidy jig...
| Wednesday @ 11:48pm I rolled into my driveway after the most memorable ride home yet. Jess, BreAnn and I left the WU around 2ish. There was a sense of relaxation about the trip that I had never felt. I was not overly anxious to get home, not overly excited to leave, I just want to get out of there. BreAnn was quite tired from her week of studying and therefore conked out in the back seat leaving Jess and I to a heart to heart in the front. Jess is a formidable 'padidle' player. Don't challenge her. Pretty much kicked my booty. But then again, I was trying to safely get us home and she got 2 points in Cleveland and I don't pay attention to things other than the road and other mad drivers in that stretch of the trip. Everything was going just dandy until we got to Bath. OH MY WORD! So my car was in need of gas so we stoped. However, the person before me had ever so geniously spilled gasoline alllllll over the ground. I tried not the stand it but it just happened. So we get back in the car and of course my shoes have absorbed a whole heck of a lot of it. It reeks so bad! We are all suffocating like crazy. So we crack the windows and I tell Jess to pull out my Macintosh Apple Yankee Candle car freshner from the plastic. So we are not only freezing but the car smells really bad. I didn't know which was worse...the cold or the smell. AND THEN! Stupid Corning...it has all this construction going on...luckily for us, Jess knew where she was going and was able to get me to back to where I knew where I was. Oh so funny! Probablly not to you, but to us, it was quite humorous. When I dropped BreAnn and Jess off, I ditched the smelly clogs in the trunk and pulled on my ever comfy slippers for the rest of the way home. I love 10 hour drives. |
