done...at last

The 8 weeks of camps is now officially over. The team arrived back at IWU around 4:27 in the afternoon and counted our left over t-shirts, which were a lot.

I have a cold. It started with a sore throat on Monday and then just went whizzing downhill. I am now blowing my brains out every 5 minutes, and peeing every 30 because I'm drinking so much water.

The fact that the camps are over seems a little strange to me. As the team was counting shirts today, it felt like only yesterday that I was sitting on the floor in the lodges rolling shirts to pack to take to camps. I've grown so much in these past weeks I can't even begin to describe it. God has taught me some huge things.

This may seem a little strange...but, I think just as my trip to Swaziland took time to process, this will also take some time to settle. God has given me a lot of joy and and lot of pain. Lots of strengths that were made stronger, and lots of weaknesses made more apparent.

But that is another story...I will leave you with this amusing little tale.

At our last camp, there was a camper that was autistic. She was just about the sweetest girl ever. Well, one night I was laying on a bench and she was across from me on another bench so I took her shoe. She got off her bench and took her shoe back. Turned right around and farted right in my face. And I mean she ripped one. I just laughed my head off and she giggled and looked at Carrie and said, "I just farted in her face."

Oh the joys of children.
