4 epiphanies

I have had a lot of epiphanies in my life in the last couple of weeks. Ok, maybe 'epiphany' isn't technically what happened but lots of clarity on lots of things.

First- I never realized how much I really do love chapel until I didn't have to go. Because of my Phys. Ed. Practicum this semester I have been exempted from going to chapel. Now, that I am not worshiping with the student body 3x a week, I now know how much I really did need it.

Second- You never really realize how much you cherish someone's friendship until they are 600 miles away. This past weekend I was able to go home and see Kaylyn. It wasn't until I was sitting in her living room that I figured out how much I miss having her around at school.

Third- I am incredibly blessed with people in my life. Particularly, Raquel. Raquel is an amazing woman of God that I met at the camp in Iowa on my summer travels. I called her on the way home and dumped some very heavy stuff on her that I had been dealing with. She was real and listened to me and gave me solid advice and challenged me on things.

Fourth- God wants me to grow up in him. Something I am still really working out. But it kind of goes along with the first epiphany I had. For a long time I have been feeding off of people, chapel, camp, etc for my relationship with God. Not that I didn't have a personal relationship with him. But I was getting my proverbial 'spiritual fuel' from it.

I think I will leave it there. Not too many details to through out into the vast chasm of the internet but just enough to let you know what's going on in my life.
