nice night

I will lock this night away in my college memory folder. Tonight, the guys townhouse that I frequent had a party. Now just remember, this is IWU we are talking about. So with that in mind, I walk over around 8ish to see what's goin on. Doesn't really look like anything mind boggling as I approach. But as I sat down in the patriotic camp chair...I knew this night was going to be good. Not really sure how we got on the topic, but the suggestion of a campfire was made. Let me preface this with the fact that we are sitting in chairs on a sidewalk that is right next to the parking lot outside the townhouse. No matter. A small grill was brought out...a left over wooden pallet from the construction was torn apart...card board boxes taken from the garbage...and we started what had to be the funniest townhouse campfire ever. It's a good thing the townhouses are on the edge of campus or we could have brought trouble down upon us. We sat around with our red plastic cups full of soda and water and just chatted. A game of cornhole was started. Quite nice. Now, I know what you are thinking. "Kaitlin, this sounds like the lamest want-to-be party ever." But maybe it's one of those times you had to be there for. It was just a bunch of friends sittin around, just being college kids. Nothing flashy, just a nice time. Maybe I am lame. But I guess I just like simple things. And if I am lame for liking simple...then I'll be lame and I'll like it. This is Tyler(L) and Phil(R) making our awesome fire.
