what really matters

I saved a life today! Giving blood rocks. I highly suggest it. Well, not to those who are nauseous at the site of blood but, everyone else, go for it!

Pretty disappointed with the shopping selection of Elmira today. Excuse me...Horseheads. Old Navy was pitiful, JC Penny's is getting a makeover so its chaos, rest of the mall pretty much the same. This is what I got, socks at Champs (they just have the best socks ever), sneakers at Finish Line (thank God for clearance), and a hands free thing for my cell. So now I can call you without being illegal. Yup...I think the high point of my day was either my medium iced mocha latte at Dunkin' Doughnuts or giving blood.

However, last night I think the total hours of sleep I got was about maybe 1 and a half. Just don't know what was wrong. I went to bed...did my devos and then tossed and turned and tossed and turned for the remainder of the night. I think sleep came to me during the 4 o'clock hour. Woke up again for 5 and back to sleep from 6 to 6:30. Not really sure why I am sharing my sleep habits with you all but you can deal.

No, I know what the highlight of my day was. It was finally seeing Kaylan after so many weeks of separation! It's wonderful how we can pick up just where our last conversation left off. Actually, its quite all right that today's shopping adventure wasn't as profitable as originally planned. I got to spend time with a wonderful friend. And in the scheme of things, that is all that matters.
