dos dias

Me encanta campo!!! It's very hard to pack for camp when you work 8 hours a day and then go to the gym for 1. Whoa...I haven't made my trip to Wal*Mart yet! Grr...but you know as well as I that the pushing and the shoving of clothing, minimizing size of hoodies and tees, that when you pull into Chambers drive and the crunch of stone is heard underneath your tires, it is all worth it. It is always this week of the year that is the longest for me. Summer after summer, June would drag on...I could not wait for Friday of Family Camp. Years of getting dust in between my toes, water balloons peged at me, teather ball tournaments, expiditions to the crick, it just calls me back. Of all the childhood memories I have, the majority of them are of Chambers. Sitting here, my heart aches for those days. The carefree days of searching for that creyfish or the half hour battles with Shane on the teather ball court. (That's back when he was shorter than me.) Whatching the older, cooler kids play basketball all afternoon. Ohhh and who could ever forget the summer the tornado hit. I remember I was over by the Snack Shop getting a drink from the water fountain. (Before camp water turned deathly.) Keith and I were standing there when this huge dust cloud came barreling down the road and I ran for the camper. The auning ripped and the tent...the huge tent came down...all down. Ooo while we still had a giant stone and dirt area? If you remember that you are truly old school. I could literally go on forever.

3:30 Friday cannot come soon enough.
