on the second day...
| Water. The Great Big Blue. Something I have always loved is water. H2O. Hydrogen and oxygen come together to make something great and refreshing. Not only to the throat on a hot summers day, or to clean oneself after a day or work, but most importantly to jump into to cool down after sweating through the shirt when its 95 degrees and the humidity is 100% but its not raining. The latter is most likely the most enjoyable way to use water. However the other two are just as important...being hydrated and clean are something very important. I have been swimming since I can't remember. I love it. And I was never one for just dawdling around in the pool. Often for youth events we would have pool parties and I would end up outside the pool on dry land chatting. I loved racing. Seeing who I could beat out to the end of the pool. Those swimming tests we took from the time we were 7 till we are 18, I would always try and beat my partner. Foolish, yes. The competative spirit is strong within my sould. I'm like the Luke Skywalker of the competative spirit. It's like I hear my own Yoda in my head telling me to focus on my task just so I can do it better and faster than my "oponent." Ok, so back to water. I love it, just so I make that clear. One of my favorite sites ever is water. Most likely the best water, other than the ocean, would have to be Seneca Lake. If you have never come down over the hill going into the Glen you are missing a most spacatular site. The sunlight cascades over the water as it ripples with the breeze. Or even better if you time it just right, you come over that hill while the sun is setting and the purples, oranges, and yellows paint the sky like only God can color. But yes, water is great.
