Just A Little Bit Longer
| It's the simple things that your remember. Like today...my parents and I went to the Troy Fair. I haven't been to the fair in forever. It was nice to just walk around with my parents and look at the exhibits. One of my high school friends took 2nd in the black and white photography contest. It was such a good picture. Go Meg! Maybe I am a hick but, I don't care. We were walking past the cows and the smell of the hay and feed wafted to my nose. Most of you don't know that when I was about 1 till 5 everyday I went to my neighbor's house...who owns a farm. So I was blessed with learning how a farm is ran. When I was 3, I witnessed a birth of a calf. Cool stuff. I think it gave me an appreciation of farm life. Perhaps I am a dork, but there is this mix that people use to make the calves their milk, and it smells sweet to me. I think it may be because it reminds me of the innocence of youth. When boys had cooties, and your best friend was your favorite stuffed animal and an awsome afternoon was playing with your toys. Now, life is all about the boy your gonna date, the friends you can trust, the movie you saw last week or the new clothes you bought. It's the simple things that make you wish that your childhood had lasted just a little bit longer. |
