food for thought
| so, i had a lot of time to think this weekend...about life, guys, friends, family, and the ever popular topic COLLEGE!!!! oh yah, everyone's favorite. i know that everyone is terrified of having us leave. i totally understand that. life as we know it is changing and is never going to be the same again. that is a horrible thing to think about. you as underclassman at church don't want us to leave, and your going to miss us. let me say that i will miss all of you too. but, chew on these words for a while. as we, Kaylyn, Kaylan, BreAnn, Brett, Joel and I leave we are going out seperate ways (as of now) some are goining 10, 15, 20 or more hours away from home. but we are doing this by ourselves. no one is going to be there for us. our parents will take us to college and then they will leave. then we will be left in front of our dorm rooms by ourselves, in a strange and new enviorment where no on who knows us. no one who can understand home life. we won't have each other like we have had for our whole lives. we will only have ourselves, no mom, no dad, no church family or friends...alone. think about that. even though we may know a couple people on campus, we aren't close to them. they haven't gone through the ups and downs that we all have together. then we have to walk up to our rooms and try to get our things unpacked with out breaking down, or maybe that is just me. I will have to think about all of you at home, the others at their colleges and know that life is now changed forever. on the other hand... the rest of you will all be in Bentley Creek, with each other to cry on, and to support one another. you will still have your best friends by your side. we have always supported one another. and yes, even though a few of us are leaving, you all will still be together. so, i know that this is hard to think about, and please don't get upset with me. just know that this is what its going to be like for us. at exciting as college is for us to think about, it is probally the scariest thing anyone of us has ever had to face. and someday you will too and you will understand. so, i just thought i would give you the senior perspective on college. remember, i am not doing this to upset you or make you mad at me (and i am sorry if you are), i just wrote this so you could understand. PS. i love you all BCWC kids. your the greatest and when i get to IWU your pictures will be the first thing i put up. |
