carried away
| And the acadamey goes to... It's amazing how movies captivate our minds. We can go to being a Jedi Knight flying through the air with our lightsaber slicing and dicing those who would challenge us, a mentally challenged man that has a talent for running and comparing life to a box of chocolates, or better yet be an Iowa farmer that follows his heart. Movies take us to another world, they are an escape from the hustle and bustle of life. The music plays on our emotions whether its a moment of horror, sadness, or action. So I ask you...what is your favorite memory of movie watching? Doesn't have to be the movie...but the experience, the people you were with, the things you said, or ate. Because most often it is those that you share the movie with that make the experience so special. Memories that rank high on my list are: -watching "Hangmans Curse" with Doug and scaring him at least 3 times and watching popcorn fly out of his hand - the creepiest night at camp watching "The Village" with the security crew while the black cat rubbed against our legs - Jess Stillson's first viewing of "Tommy Boy" - "Cinderella Man" @ the WU - Katie and I crying through "Moulin Rouge" and both determining that we were both going to play 'Come What May' at our weddings - the whole of my senior sociology class silent during "Green Mile" |

post a commentYou are so right about movies becoming favorites because of who we share them with. I have a few of my own.
- The Ghost and Mrs. Muir - my mom and I cried through it the first time we saw it together. Oh beautiful story!
- Ok, it's not a movie, but the season finale for Lost, first season. My two really good friends and I sat on the couch, really close with the blankets around our faces cause we were so freakd out. It was great! lol
There are a lot more, but I don't want to take an hour trying to leave you a nice comment on your blog. So yeah. Have fun!
