Let me catch you up to date...
| So, I have to say that after my first week at college, I am so glad I am here. If you all could see this place and meet the people, you would understand why I love it so much. I really haven't met that many people and stayed close with them, except maybe my small group. I still talk to a bunch of them on a regular basis. Especially this kid named Jason. He is so funny. We acctually have a lot in common. NO...stop right now thinking what you are. But he is really fun to hang out with. But it should be interesting to see who else I get to be close to at IWU. Kem is awsome. I love being in this hall. On Thursday night or Friday morning whatever you want to call it, the freshmen were awakened to the sounds of pots and pans and screaming. Can you say INITATION!?!?! Well, I sure did. it was at least 2 or 3 am. We ran around campus and ended up singing for some of the Scripture guys. Father Abraham, the Chicken Song, the Hokie Pokey, and I'm a Little Tea Pot were some of the listed songs for that night. Then we walked over to the track. And when I say track, picture a good 5 or 10 minute walk in the early morning hours with about 75 other girls. Then one of the RA's led a wonderful devotional talking about how the Kem Leadership wanted us girls to grow into women of Christ. It was awsome. Even though I was dead tired when I got back, it was amazingly fun. Residence Life Week is now over. Which will be nice because there won't be a million things to do in the afternoon and night with my unit and I can finally focus on school work. I know, I know...LOSER. But hey, I'm not paying this much to get bad grades and get kicked out on academic suspension. lol. I really like it here. This is where God wants me. Chapel is amazing. You can feel God every time. OOOOOHHHH MY GOODNESS!!!! Did I tell you about Dr. Jame Dobson comming here?!!?! HAHAHA!!! Kaylan...it was awsome. He came and spoke for the convocation ceremony. He acctually walked right past me in the Rec and Wellness Center when the Sports Studies majors were gathering. It was sooo cool!!! He is a really good speaker. Long winded...my butt fell asleep, but still, it was pretty cool to have Dr. Dobson, someone that I grew up listening to, be in the same room speaking to IWU. (I thought of you so much that day Kaylan.) IWU is completely wonderful. |
