Season of Change

Chambers Wesleyan Camp. Possibily the best place on Earth. I am home from a fantastic week at Discipleship Retreat. God really spoke to me there. The theme of the week was "People of Excellence". As a 5th year, I was able to just hang out this week. To watch as God moved in others, but I think it also gave time for God to work in me. Because I had a "free" scedual, I was able to read my Bible and spend wonderful times with God. Lately, he has been tapping on my heart to be more. I didn't know what that meant. But as I quited my heart, the desire of knowing God and his letter to me grew. I remembered all the times this year when I was so desperate for an answer, he showed me exactly what I needed. How much more will he show me when I have a desire to know him? I am going to need strength in the comming weeks. But, I have the assurance that the only strength I need is God, my heavenly father. I will say that I will sorely miss the place I grew up physically and spiritually. Chambers is where my heart lies. The people, the food, the grounds, the tables, and yes even the smell are all things I love. I so thank those Pastors that have guided me over these years espceally Pastor Matt, Doug, Jim, and Don. It is funny how people see the changes that are occuring in you when you can't see them in yourself. Pastor Jim described it as I am going from Spring to Summer in my life. I fully enjoyed the Spring. But now I am again searching for my place. Where do I fit in? Who do I fit in with? Many questions arise. As much as it pains and frightens me to be leaving the safety and warmth of my home, I know what God has in store for me is exciting and I can't wait to step down this new path on my walk with him.
