I've Got a Funny Feeling!
| No one will ever be able to take this feeling I have away from me. This past weekend Kaylyn, BreAnn, Tyler and I went to Indiana Wesleyan University for orentation to register for classes. Oh my goodness!!! Well, first it started that Pastor Rob thought that we were going to "Dan's house"...I told him that Kaylyn and I were leaving for Indiana today and apparently I string my letters together so it sounded like we were going to "Dan's house." God was so in this trip. Kaylyn has a sister in-law in Cleveland along with a nephew Ethan who she hasn't been able to see in a very long time. Well, we were going to stop in Cleveland because my cousin Judy and her family live out there. Well, Judy has three little boys, one who is the age of Ethan so...the two boys got along great and now Judy and Jen are going to get together and go to Bible study together and keep the boys hanging out. SO COOL!! Then there was the acctual trip out to IWU. This big rooster about made Kaylyn fall out of the car she was laughing so hard. (It was a big statue on the side of the road.) We also found a picture of the man of my life, Hayden Christensen*sigh*, in her magazine. oooohhhh baby! Then we tried to get our CD players to play our Toby Mac CD's at the same time. That took about an hour of the trip. Oh, but we haven't even gotten to the campus yet people. Tyler and BreAnn were a couple hours behind us. We had reached Marion by the time they had reached the Indiana state line. Poor Kaylyn...we drove past the college about 3 times looking for the hotel my mom was going to stay at. She was dieing and laughing because she was talking to on my cell Tyler and he was flipping out cause we kept going past the college so many times. When we finally got to the college we walked around a bit in the student center which is bigger than 3 of Houghton's put together. *cough Houghton stinks cough* OK and then we did introduction time. WHOA!! So each admissions counselar called up their area and the kids that were there. Each had to give their name, major, where they were from, and answer some idiotic question. Rick Zwarin (my admin counselar) asked, "if you were a hot dog and had to eat yourself, what would you put on yourself?" NOOOO...it couldn't be what is your favorite movie or place to go on vacation like others got...it had to be that question. Well, thanks to Joe Polinksi I knew exactly what I would put on myself. Baked beans...its a good taste if you've never tried it. I was the only phys. ed. major there this weekend. I met 2 other guys that have sports majors....Dane and J.D. Dane is going to play golf for IWU which is pretty cool, J.D. is nice but kinda werid...but I guess that is just how it's going to be. I didn't talk to many people this weekend other than Ty, Bre and Kaylyn because we were sooooo busy with meeting and testing and regestering and getting ID's and buying books and shirts. But I did talk to this kid named Timothy N. (not sure what his last name is but it was N-something because he was in my registration line) and we talked about where we were from, families, churches, schools, and majors, and loads of other stuff. I love the looks people give me when they ask where I am from and I reply Pennsylvania. It's great, I wish I had a camera every time. But Tim is cool. Everyone I met was really nice...very helpful and friendly. I can't wait until September 2nd. It's the day that I get to move in my room and start another chapter in my life. It will be a long summer but I know the great things awaiting me at that end. |
